Incorporated as a Trust in the spring of 2009, New Life Trust, under the leadership of Shri S Sankara, a seasoned Cost Accountant with over 15 years o Read moref experience spanning Individual, Corporate, and Institutional clients, operates under Registration No. 65/2009 of the Indian Trust Act. Having obtained its 12AA Certification from the Department of Income Tax in July 2010, the Trust facilitates tax-exempt donations under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, as certified in July 2010. New Life Trust focuses its efforts on the villages of Manachanallur, Musiri, and Thuraiyur in Tamil Nadu, extending its reach across 57 villages in the vicinity. Supported by a team of socially conscious and committed youth from the rural community, the Trust conducts regular interaction programs to comprehend ground realities and devise programs to address villagers' concerns. With a history of impactful initiatives benefiting thousands, the Trust's primary areas of focus revolve around health awareness and rural welfare. These initiatives include adopting backward villages, implementing rural welfare schemes, establishing and maintaining shelters, providing basic medical facilities, running orphanages for underprivileged children, offering financial assistance such as scholarships, supplying books and stationery to disadvantaged students, and ensuring daily meals for elders and school-going children.

Programs

  • Women Empowerment Program

    In order to enhance the empowerment of women self-help groups (SHGs), a sequence of one-day capacity-building training sessions is arranged for the SHG leaders. These sessions cover topics such as women's rights, equality, gender justice, property rights, reproductive rights, political governance, and the role of women groups in public governance and community participation. These programs are conducted as one-day non-residential training sessions for the active women leaders within the groups.

  • Environmental Awareness Program

    Financial assistance from local well-wishers and contributions from trustees facilitate the distribution of vermicompost as part of the Environmental Awareness Programme. Regular seminars on vermicompost are conducted, covering various topics such as the value of organic manure, construction of compost tanks, vermicompost production, proper application techniques, and the promotion of soil fertility.
