Santoshpur Tribal Development and Human Watch Society(STDAHWS)

The organisation initiates organic farming promotion in Purulia's Karamara and Dandudi villages, primarily inhabited by tribal communities. Supported by Deepak Industries Limited, it provides comprehensive training, specialist guidance, ongoing support, and monitoring—both online and offline—to the villagers, especially women. The active involvement of the villagers contributes significantly to its success.

The organisation collaborated with the Indian Cancer Society, St. Michael Catholic Church, and Deepak Industries Limited to successfully conduct a cancer screening camp in Premnagar, Belepole, Howrah. Around 90 individuals, mostly from the Scheduled Tribes, underwent screenings, including necessary gynaecological check-ups. Fortunately, no positive diagnoses were reported. The collective looks forward to future collaborations for such initiatives.

The organisation orchestrated two events aimed at afforestation and livelihood enhancement in flood-affected parts of the Howrah district. In Premnagar, Belepole, under the guidance of St. Michael Catholic Church, saplings were planted in the tribal-inhabited region. Additionally, in Udaynarayanpur's Banaprabon Abhirampur, in collaboration with the Ramakrishna Sevashram, saplings were distributed among villagers and the ashram committee. Both events garnered appreciation from both parties involved, expressing gratitude, and nurturing a desire for further impactful endeavours in the future.
