Programs

  • Vrikshmaal

For 11 years, the organisation has planted trees along the banks and surroundings of the Ganga River, envisioning a magnificent necklace of greenery known as Vrikshmaal.
Partnering with the esteemed Atulya Ganga, the organisation confronts a crisis: the Ganga River's stretch has a meagre <2% green cover, a stark contrast to the 16% in the Ganga basin and 24% nationwide. Alarmingly, this area hosts some of the top 10 most polluted cities worldwide.
The organisation plants native, long-lasting trees, engaging citizens and particularly focusing on youth awareness along the entire river course.
The strategy stands on three pillars: engaging the masses, selecting planting spots carefully with appointed guardians, and utilizing a technology-driven platform to maintain a comprehensive database comprising geotagged photos, contact details, and consistent monitoring.
